Parades

LED Parade Specialists

We specialise in creating visually striking, community-centred parades that combine cutting-edge LED technology, large-scale puppetry and professional performance.

Our work is rooted in research and development around interactive light technology. We use advanced LED systems that allow costumes and props to communicate with each other in real time, responding to music, movement and audience presence. This means our parades don’t just pass by — they interact, shift and glow in response to the people around them.

Using programmable LED costumes and props, we can currently support up to 15 performers simultaneously, alongside large-scale elements such as our illuminated dragon. These systems allow us to choreograph colour, rhythm and atmosphere across an entire parade, creating a unified and immersive visual experience.

We can:

  • Bring our own experienced community cast, trained and ready to perform

  • Or work with your local community, combining our professional dancers, puppeteers and makers with participants of all ages

This flexible approach allows each parade to be tailored to its place, people and story.

Our parade work sits alongside our Azra GLOW walkabout show and its theatre version, allowing festivals to scale the experience across daytime, twilight and evening programmes.

Recent parade highlights include:

  • Wintertide Festival – commissioned to work with Year 6 children to develop a beautiful pre-parade performance set to a track by A Man Called Adam

  • Newbiggin-by-the-Sea

  • North Shields 800 Celebration

  • Sunderland Giant New Year’s Eve Event, in collaboration with Creative Seed
(featuring a mix of professional dancers, puppeteers and community-led performers)

  • Houghton Feast – daytime parade featuring stilt-walking dragon keeping, walkabout performances and post-parade workshops
